Antarctica is the last truly wild place on earth - and the only way to experience it properly is on a private vessel, with a dedicated science team, at your own pace. This eighteen-day expedition departs from Ushuaia, Argentina, and crosses the Drake Passage to the Antarctic Peninsula. Ten days are spent navigating the peninsula's channels, bays, and islands - zodiac landings at penguin colonies (chinstrap, gentoo, and Adélie), kayaking through iceberg fields, and overnight camping on the ice for those who want the full immersion. A dedicated marine biologist and glaciologist accompany the voyage, providing context and insight that transforms wildlife sightings into genuine understanding. The return route passes through the Falkland Islands - home to the world's largest rockhopper penguin colony - and South Georgia, where 300,000 king penguins and tens of thousands of elephant seals share the beaches with the ruins of Ernest Shackleton's whaling station. This is the most remote, most extraordinary, and most expensive tour Fortuna offers. It is also the one that changes people most profoundly.
